πŸ˜‰ U.S. Uranium Restart

US-based Energy Fuels (TSX:EFR) (NYSE: UUUU) has initiated production at three permitted uranium mines in Arizona and Utah, motivated by surging uranium prices.

The company is also preparing two additional mines in Colorado and Wyoming for production within a year, while advancing permits for several other large-scale US mining projects to boost uranium output in the coming years.

The move is fueled by rising uranium prices, US government support for nuclear energy, and global efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Current uranium spot prices are near $90 per pound, the highest since 2007.

Energy Fuels anticipates a production rate of 1.1 million to 1.4 million pounds annually by mid- to late-2024.
