PLUS: Swiss Firm Buys Uranium
Greetings Contrarian,
This is The Next Big Rush, your daily drop of mining/energy investing news. Where we come together on hump day for news that are out of this world.
Here are the extra-terrestrial points:
👽 Swiss Launch Physical Uranium Vehicle
👽 Canadian Tax Boost For Nuclear
👽 Aussie Junior Finds 176m Gold/Silver
👽 Argentina-Based Junior Hits Silver Again
👑 Swiss Launch Physical Uranium Vehicle
The product invests in physical natural uranium concentrates in the form of U308 (aka yellowcake) and is managed by Zuri-Invest AG with Curzon Uranium Ltd. as the Product Strategy Advisor.
The physical uranium will be stored in a government-regulated storage facility in Canada, managed by Cameco.
The vehicle will hold cash and purchase lots of 100,000 lbs. of U3O8 in the spot market.
Differently from $SPUT (Sprott Physical Uranium Trust), it may bring more volatility to the spot market, since exiting investors may trigger a sale of yellowcake if there’s not enough liquidity in the secondary market.

Not bearish.
💪🏼 Canadian Tax Boost For Nuclear
The budget includes various tax incentives for nuclear power, such as a 15% refundable Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for Clean Electricity that can be applied to all sizes of nuclear power, including the ever-sexier small modular reactors, large builds, and refurbishment projects (hello Pickering).
In addition, nuclear power is now eligible for a range of other tax incentives to enable it to compete fairly with other non-emitting sources of power.
Hurray!
