🧐 Gold Retreats Again
Gold prices are on track for their worst weekly drop in over a month, down 2.2% so far, as expectations for imminent U.S. interest rate cuts faded following the Federal Reserve's cautious outlook.
Easing fears of U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict also reduced safe-haven demand, with spot gold slipping to $3,355.97/oz. A stronger U.S. dollar further pressured gold, making it more expensive for non-dollar holders.
Analysts suggest gold may remain in a consolidation phase, with key support near $3,320. Other precious metals also declined, including silver, platinum, and palladium.
💪 Benton High-Grades
Benton Resources Inc. (TSXV: BEX; OTCQB: BNTRF) announced further high-grade copper and gold drill results at the Great Burnt Project in central Newfoundland.
Highlights:
12.30 metres of 2.49% Cu, including 4.80 metres of 5.27% Cu.
2.85 metres of 1.27% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au.
7.70 metres of 0.23% Cu and 2.15 g/t Au.
The company confirmed multiple new copper-rich zones east of the Main Zone and intersected strong gold values in the North Stringer Zone.
Drilling remains paused pending further assay and geophysical data analysis.
