🤩 Glenburgh Gold

Benz Mining Corp (TSXV: BZ | ASX: BNZ) reported further RC drilling results from the Icon Prospect at its Glenburgh Gold Project in Western Australia.

Highlights:

  • 154 metres of 1.1 g/t gold from 76m downhole (including 5 metres of 22.0 g/t gold).

  • 134 metres of 1.0 g/t gold from 66m downhole (including 44 metres of 2.2 g/t gold).

  • 117 metres of 0.7 g/t gold from 107m downhole (including 38 metres of 1.1 g/t gold).

Drilling continues to define thick zones of gold mineralisation, all open at depth and ending in mineralisation. Results support a 400-metre-wide gold system linking Icon with the nearby Tuxedo deposit.

Two RC rigs are active, with further drilling fully funded by a recent A$13.5 million raise.

🧐 Gold Rally Pauses

Gold prices edged lower today, slipping 0.2% to $3,356.91/oz, as rising U.S. Treasury yields and investor profit-taking followed last week’s rally triggered by weak U.S. jobs data.

Despite the dip, U.S. gold futures rose 0.3% to $3,410.20. The market is seen as range-bound, with firmer yields, a rebound in stocks, and a stabilising dollar contributing to the pullback. Traders now see an 86% chance of a Fed rate cut in September, while Citi raised its 3-month gold forecast to $3,500/oz.

Stagflation risks and dovish policy expectations are keeping gold sellers cautious, even as political and trade developments add to economic uncertainty.
