๐Ÿ‘ Future Nuclear Developments

Vattenfall, a Swedish state-owned utility plans new nuclear reactors near Ringhals, exploring small modular reactors (SMRs) or larger units similar to their current ones, targeting operation by the early 2030s to meet Sweden's clean power goals, despite no decision on reactor type.

They aim to begin operation in the first half of the 2030s to meet Sweden's clean power needs with solutions expected by August, and a 9 to 11-year construction estimate. Vattenfall's dive into new nuclear power reactors screams commitment to Sweden's future energy game plan, showing they're all in for sustainable solutions.

What does that mean for future uranium demand and local uranium mining?

โœŒ SSR Mining Update

SSR Mining Inc. (Nasdaq / TSX: SSRM; ASX: SSR) offers an update on the ongoing rescue mission at the ร‡รถpler mine in Tรผrkiye, while also addressing legal matters and the suspension of operations due to an environmental permit revocation.

Since the incident on February 13, the Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change has been on the ball, keeping tabs on surface water, groundwater, soil, and air quality in the area.

And guess what? All results so far? Negative!

No contamination was detected in the monitored spots.
