🤔 Trading Halt Aftermath

Trading in gold and silver futures, along with many other derivatives, was abruptly halted for several hours after a cooling system failure at a CME Group data centre froze its Globex electronic platform.

The outage temporarily stopped price discovery and liquidity across global futures markets, but trading later resumed the same day.

Following the restart, precious metals prices saw a burst of technical buying and increased volatility, with spreads widening as traders adjusted positions after the pause.

Although the disruption caused short term uncertainty, broader bullish drivers, including expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts and strong demand for safe haven assets, suggest sentiment for both gold and silver remains firmly positive in the near term.

👏 Kwanika Delivers

NorthWest Copper Corp. (TSXV: NWST) reported new drilling results from its 2025 programme at the Kwanika project in British Columbia, Canada.

Highlights:

  • 26 metres of 0.72% Cu and 1.30 g/t Au (1.91% CuEq) from 268 metres.

  • 43.7 metres of 1.26% Cu and 0.41 g/t Au (1.66% CuEq) from 22.3 metres.

  • 40 metres of 0.63% Cu and 0.95 g/t Au (1.50% CuEq) from 254 metres.

The results extend the Central Zone 30 metres to the northeast, confirm high-grade mineralisation over substantial thicknesses, and reinforce the potential for a high-grade starter pit in the Pit Zone as NorthWest targets a more robust, high-grade development plan in a future updated PEA.
