GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV: GQC | OTCQX: GDQMF) announced drilling results from the Romero Gold-Copper Project in the Dominican Republic.
Highlights:
38.6 metres of 45.01 g/t gold, 14.31 g/t silver, and 2.44% copper, including:
26.85 metres of 63.82 g/t gold, 18.93 g/t silver, and 3.23% copper.
27.55 metres of 17.61 g/t gold, 6.07 g/t silver, and 1.40% copper, including:
10.1 metres of 38.71 g/t gold, 10.80 g/t silver, and 2.76% copper.
30.5 metres of 16.47 g/t gold, 2.79 g/t silver, and 1.59% copper, including:
11.6 metres of 34.46 g/t gold, 4.20 g/t silver, and 2.76% copper.
Metallurgical drilling confirmed multiple high-grade gold-copper intervals within the Romero deposit, while ongoing test work continues to support conventional flotation processing and feasibility study work.
Preliminary reconciliation against the existing resource model also showed higher gold, copper, and silver grades within evaluated areas.
👏 Gold Prices Rebound
Gold prices edged higher today, with spot gold trading around US$4,528.19 per ounce and US gold futures near US$4,559.10 per ounce, following recent heavy losses.
Reuters reported that the metal remains on track for a third straight monthly decline as investors weigh inflation concerns, oil prices, and expectations for higher US interest rates.
Hopes for a possible US-Iran ceasefire helped support prices, while weaker oil prices and a softer US dollar also offered some relief.
However, ongoing inflation fears linked to Middle East tensions continue to pressure gold, as higher interest rates reduce the appeal of non-yielding assets like bullion.
