🤔 Gold Holds Ground
Gold fell 1.0% today to $4,062.05/oz, while U.S. gold futures declined 1.1% to $4,059.70/oz as the U.S. dollar strengthened following the Federal Reserve's latest policy meeting.
Despite the daily pullback, bullion remains up around 1.7% for July and 0.5% for the week, putting it on track for its first monthly gain since February.
Investors continue to weigh the prospect of lower interest rates against persistent inflation concerns and geopolitical tensions, while improving physical demand in China has helped offset weaker buying in India, keeping the longer-term outlook for gold constructive.
👏 Boreal Hits High-Grade
Boreal Gold Inc. (CSE: BGLD) announced new high-grade drill results from the Gold Rock Vein at its North Star Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada.
Highlights:
2.41 metres of 15.54 g/t gold, including:
1.41 metres of 25.70 g/t gold.
0.41 metres of 81.50 g/t gold.
1.27 metres of 1.61 g/t gold, including:
0.17 metres of 10.45 g/t gold.
The latest drilling extended the high-grade Gold Rock Vein to approximately 60 metres vertical depth, while a second hole confirmed the mineralised structure continues to around 80 metres.
Visible gold observed in the highest-grade interval continues to support the potential for further expansion of the Gold Rock Vein.
