UBS raised its gold price target for a fifth time this year, now forecasting $3,800/oz by end-2025 and $3,900/oz by mid-2026, after the metal hit fresh records of $3,677 and $3,682 earlier this week.

Strategists said weaker U.S. jobs data has fuelled expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts, driving dollar weakness and boosting gold demand amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.

UBS noted record inflows into gold funds and sees falling real interest rates supporting further gains, advising clients to keep portfolio exposure to the metal.

👏 Defiance Drills

Defiance Silver Corp. (TSXV: DEF | OTCQX: DNCVF | FSE: D4E) announced the start of a 10,000-metre core drill program at the Zacatecas Project, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Highlights:

• Minimum 10,000 metres of oriented core drilling planned.

• Targeting resource expansion at San Acacio.

• Following up on high-grade silver results at Lucita from 2021.

The program aims to grow resources and test multiple targets, supporting the next phase toward a new mineral resource estimate.
