🐍 Copper Snake Uncovered
Eastport Critical Metals Corp. (TSXV: EVI | OTCQB: EVIIF), a sponsoring partner of TNBR, identified historical trenches spanning about 12 km during a 291 km² gravity survey at its Matsitama Project in Botswana.
A re-excavated trench shows a 2-metre zone of visible copper mineralisation, with native gold also identified, though these are visual observations and no assays were reported.
An excavation, mapping and sampling programme is expected to finish this quarter, with the results to be combined with geophysical data to define drill targets for the first quarter of 2027.
📈 Gold's Weekly Rebound
Gold prices edged lower today, with spot gold falling 0.3% to $4,076.91 per ounce, as rising oil prices revived inflation concerns and strengthened expectations that US interest rates could remain higher for longer.
Despite the daily decline, gold was heading for its strongest weekly gain in more than two months, up approximately 5% following a sharp recovery from last week's lows.
Investors are awaiting US non-farm payrolls data for clues about the Federal Reserve's next interest-rate decision, with markets pricing in a 64% chance of a December rate hike. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs lowered its year-end gold price forecast to $4,150 from $4,650, citing the Fed's increasingly hawkish stance.
