💼 BHP $39 Billion Merger

BHP Group Ltd. has made a bold move by proposing to acquire Anglo American Plc, estimating its worth at £31.1 billion ($38.8 billion). If this bid succeeds, it could give rise to a formidable force in the mining sector, boasting significant copper production, which was estimated at 22 million metric tons in 2023.

The intricate deal structure involves Anglo divesting its South African platinum and iron ore interests before merging with BHP through a comprehensive stock swap. Despite Anglo's complex corporate makeup and past operational challenges, its South American copper assets have made it an attractive target.

If the deal materializes, BHP will ascend to the top spot as the world's foremost copper producer, contributing approximately 10% of the world's mined supply.

Impressive.

🧐 Bomboré Gold

  • 22.17 g/t Au over 4.00m from 26.00m.

  • 33.49 g/t Au over 2.00m from 3.00m.

Investors have bid up the price 6.3% so far, indicating positive but not remarkable results. The volume is still shy.
