U.S. activist investor Elliott Management is launching Hyperion, a venture with over $1 billion to invest in global mining assets, including base and precious metals and commodities for electric vehicles, as reported by the Financial Times.

Led by former Newcrest Mining CEO Sandeep Biswas, Hyperion aims to tap into the surging demand for materials essential to electric vehicles and renewable energy. With the demand for lithium, nickel, cobalt, and copper expected to significantly increase by 2035, Elliott Management, which has $65 billion under management, is also prepared to pursue larger deals leveraging its substantial resources.

It’s a start. May their boldness be rewarded (as long as they’re not shorting, please Lord no).

😋 Sweet Donut Found

Founders Metals Inc. (TSXV: FDR) (OTCQX: FDMIF) (FSE: 9DL0) announces drill core assay results from its fully-funded 2024 drill program at the Antino Gold Project in southeastern Suriname.

Highlights:

• 45.0 m of 2.16 g/t gold 

This hit confirms over 250m of strike in a discovery at the Donut target. Donut is located roughly 800m east of the Froyo Gold Zone where drilling continues to deliver strong results. 

This has us excited and hungry all at once, great job team.
